It's not exactly complicated... small plate menu items that consist of American foods

curious. It just comes across as intentionally pretentious. LOL

It means small portions of over-priced "fusion" food. Sometimes served from trucks.

The average downtown worker will still find themselves eating at the Coney Island type restaurants such as Zef's and The Ham Shop just to save a buck. Those places have good food without putting a large dent in the wallet/purses of those who eat out daily. Others are brown bagging their lunch.

I'm most excited for Wright & Co, but it is less of a lunch place than the others. It isn't quite centered around the core business areas as much, so it will rely more on residents and visitors.

The other three should do well for the business crowd. They're the right kind of places and meet some under-served markets. The fast-casual, mainly carry-out places seem to be the most successful. Potbelly always has a huge line, for example.
