I think he's making the jump from not buying health insurance, to not paying the penalty for not having health insurance, to going to jail.

Since it's a tax administered by the IRS, I would hazard a guess that if you didn't pay the penalty "tax" you'll be getting a knock on your door by some federal agency.

Sounds like we need a clarification does anyone know the answer. Also why should I have to worry about a federal agency show up at my front door because I do not want to pay for overpriced health insurance. How stupid is that!

I'd imagine its the same reason why I should have to worry about a Federal agency showing up at my front door because I do not want to pay to finance a "war" in Iraq/Afghanistan/Syria, etc that I do not agree with.

Not even in the same category! To choose not to have health insurance is a right.
