Almost assuredly, if she didn't look like her, she would have been ousted some time ago.

I don't know what the city's election laws are [[I don't live in Detroit anymore), but is there a way to petition to recall Ms. Conyers? If the city council won't do anything, maybe the voters need to do something to get her out.
