I hate the phrase "reach out"! Can't you just say I'll give them a call or I'll send an e-mail? NOT I'll reach out to them. Even worse when someone thanks you for that call and says, Thanks for reaching out to me. Jeeze!

How about a phrase like "I went to the meeting on today"?????

unless there is an actual line on which you are standing, you are IN line. A line is a collection of points, and you are one of the points IN line

I have a boss who always uses the expressions "it's on my radar" and "touch base". Typically, he uses them simultaneously....and consistently...a conversation usually goes something like this, "this is a real no-brainer. A win-win for all of us. That project is on my radar and when I have more deets we will regroup and touch base". It's almost as if he is paraphrasing every management seminar he ever attended.

yes, caps.

The words are converse or conversing. This is one that drives me mad. To me, nothing makes someone sound more stupid than using those non-words.
