Art Blackwell Takes advantage of Kwame Circus to Plea Out?

Speaking of crime families... Art Blackwell, son of former Highland Park Mayor Robert Blackwell has plead guilty to "one count of safe keeping of public money -- a two-year misdemeanor -- after a three-year legal battle stemming from accusations that he embezzled money from the city."

This would seem to be better than getting convicted of embezzlement, a felony. However, I find the timing interesting. This story will be swamped the Kwame tsunami of news.

One could argue that the Blackwell's in their microcosm of Highland Park were role models for the Kilpatrick crime family.

And isn't is interesting that the fans of EFM don't point to this success story?

Sorry, Close but no guitar. The Kilpatrick's started WAY before HP's EFM put his hand in the cookie jar.

With all due respect, Lowell, there are bad eggs in EVERY field. Doctors, Lawyers, and Indian Chiefs. Just because this guy is tainted doesn't mean they all are, or that the EFM not a good idea.

That's just it. He wised up. The timing is perfect for him to decide not to follow in Kilpatrick's footsteps to any detention center.
