How do we know that for sure!!!
I've read a few accounts about the old city cemetery that was on the site of Eastern Market. Supposedly when they were constructing I-375, a week or so before the 67 Riots some bodies or, more likely, some bones were discovered. Long story short, the contractors knew it would cause a long stoppage, and then the Riots started, and it was decided to quietly bury the bones and continue the work.
Not sure if that's an urban legend or not, as I haven't been able to locate anything in the newspapers from that time.
