Good lord... so you opened an old thread so you could go of on unrelated rambling tangents [[not your first time).... do you ever go back and reread your threads.... or do you just post whatever comes into your head about some narrow subject.... which by the way, you forgot important topics such as suicide bridges [[Golden Gate alone over 1,600)... and then there's the entire subject of Erotic Asphyxiation..... maybe we should force people to wear stiff collars. If you're trying to make a point, try doing it in less than a 1000 words....

Yes, G., I do read them, and I don't regret a thing I state. I do all I can to be thorough, intricate, and consistent. I have years of pent-up data, experience, and information, and nobody is putting a gun to your head to read or accept them.

If it seems tiring for you, just know I don't let myself off easily. Not only am I my own worst critic, I place myself in the "grey zone" of irresolve to constant re-assess and re-weigh every side of a situation, before I lock a conviction [[which I think far too many folks do flippantly just to clutch onto some sort of structure).

Someone once stated to me that I was "preaching to the choir" and that "we are all aiming for the same thing". What a load of dung! I see far too many conflicting views on these forums and not a lot of evidence to back them up. I don't think there are very few persons on my page. As soon as I like what one person states about one thing, they have to spout off about something else or praise someone in the area [[someone I know all too well about there dark sides), and I go "Oh, please, nooo."

As one conservative guy [[yeah, I do have conservative friends who I can talk to just about anything else in an abiding fashion without politics entering into it) from Muskegon noted about me, I'm my own animal. As my own animal I have a right to speak. Furthermore, I'm not going to acquiesce to one-inch thought Orwellian thinkspeak to express it. People got to stop being lazy in that fashion. Go read some Tolstoy or Melville or better still, it's St. Patrick's, read some Joyce.

I guess, in my defense, [[cue Jim Carroll) there's a certain angst that builds in one when you've been to enough funerals for overdoses, murders, and suicides-whether they're friends or not [[where you find yourself saying "Oh, it was that guy who used to hang out there"). I still feel the severity of the death and it's location [[and yes, that there are media scrub-outs on it) is an indication that the casinos are baaaad mojo.

Also, if folks keep making jokes about suicide, I swear [[I swear I'll do it!) I'll start a [[non-Detroit) thread asking "What mode of suicide any of you would prefer?" Hey, if Mos Allison asks how we're gonna go----Just remember kids, suicide is only a dangerous hobby to the enthusiast.

It's funny how people formulate opinions based on erroneous assumptions. While it makes for a good narrative to lay this at the feet of the evils of gambling, you want to know the real story?

Here's the skinny: The feds were closing in on this guy for child porn; that's why Detroit cops were referring people to the US Marshal's office for comment.

If that be the case, then that's the end of that. Still doesn't explain previous jumpings [[like the one in 2009). I still left the backdoor open on that by mentioning subways and colleges [[and as one person-who was sarcastically accused of being "fair and balanced" on another thread because they, too, drew upon a long-winded example to make a point-pointed out bridges, as well), which we know are not as prone to draw the negative influences casinos tend to do.

Again, if someone does not like that I post, simply do what I do with those I chose to ignore and simply pass over my posts with no comment. Yet, if it's what I post that becomes the troublesome pea that dis-"eases" you amidst your many cushy layers of mattresses, then by all means, address those points in a civil and non-repressive [[that is, to not suggest to others to simply "shut up".) fashion ready to provide lengthy evidence for your point of view.

Never mind those who try to shut you up. Keep on giving your lively, fluid point of view. Ramble on if you wish my friend, I like your style, you don't insult or highjack anything.

YES!! G-DDT knows his sh*t .. preach it!!

The more sedately-minded DYes'ers might want to scan The Robots' Rebellion:

    http://www.amazon.com/The-Robots-Reb.../dp/1858600227

The author David Icke is somewhat off-beat [[some would say barking mad), but still a good read after more than 20 years.
