    Nice to see this one managed to keep a fair bit of architectural integrity. A very handsome building indeed.

    And the food wasn't bad either. As you can see in the photo, Justin Verlander and his wife, patronized the place quite a bit. I'm hoping one of the Millennials will pick it up and turn it into a upscale, high-end, Kraft taco palace, with organic, locally-grown, gluten-free, hand made, taco shells.

    At the time this house was built Oldfield was a staff architect for Gerard, Stormfeltz & Lovely.

    Designed by Frazeur T. Slater for William T. Dust. 376 Ferndale Avenue built in 1924? Birmingham, MI.
    Demolished: 2011

    Extensive alterations designed by Charles N. Agree for Lane Bryant in 1946.

    The 1935 Better Style Home

    Designed by Merritt & Cole. The 1935 Better Style Home 324 McMillan built in 1935 Grosse Pointe Farms. Includes articles/advertisements featuring the eight different builders involved with the project.

    Eight local builders cooperated to build this house, George E. Argo, J. J. Berger, Guy E. Moffit, Walter H. Mast, Wilbert Calhoun, Edward V. Monahan, James J. Monahan, and M. H. Decker.

    James D. Kennedy was a principle in D. J. Kennedy & Son contractors. Daniel J. Kennedy was the other principle.
