    Meadowbrook Hall 480 South Adams Road built in 1929 Oakland Univeristy Rochester Hills, MI.

    At 88,000 Sq. Ft. the hall is over twice the size of Rose Terrace and ranks as the 4th largerst historic home in the US.

    Univeristy Club 1411 East Jefferson built in 1931 Detroit, MI. The building contains one of the 2 Racquets Courts in Detroit and one of only 15 courts in North America.

    What's the story about 1051 Berkshire? That house is great and has so much character. Looks like something so different from Donaldson and Meier's other works too.

    I have a feeling the design was conceived by Walter Meier. His father had already passed away. I also think John Donaldson was not involved in the day to day operations of the firm at that point. A good friend of mind is a Meier. He has a family history that includes info on the house. Next time you are in town we can meet with him just give me a little lead time.

    Anyone have any idea where this house was located? I am guessing Brush Park, because it looks to be pre-1905 ish...

    Liking the school series - used to be brutalist modern concrete one somewhere on the west side near the river i think with either sloped/canted or curved flared out walls. Haven't been able to find a pic - am I imagining it?
