It's great to see the investment into the renovation of the La Vogue. One minor quibble. It's too bad that the owners couldn't avoid installing vertical blinds. Maybe the Republicans in Lansing could pass a state law banning them. After all, wouldn't most agree that vertical blinds in a 1920's building is a bigger problem than the election fraud that Lansing seems so worried about?

What a difference a year makes!! I was on the tour in 2011 and thought the renovation of La Vogue was coming along nicely. Couldn't be there for this year's tour, so thanks for these photos. Looking fabulous!!!

Albert Kahn's Walbri Court. Now known as 1001 Covington. We were able to tour a vacant unit and one restored unit. Although the owner of the unit did not mind us taking pics I only felt comfortable taking images of his "sunroom".

As a convenience for young parents, Albert Kahn provided a room for storage of their baby carriages right off the lobby of 1001 Covington. [[BTW, do they even make baby carriages anymore? I can't remember the last time I saw one.)

Ridgemont, Walter MacFarlane's design for David C. Whitney. Originally located at 237 Lakeshore in Grosse Pointe Farms. Built in 1902 and razed in 1956. This was the start of the 30ish Mansions to be torn down in Grosse Pointe since the late 1950's. If anyone is interested I will be at Tashmoo on Sunday for anyone who would like to wonder around Indian and West Village. Let me know if you are interested.
