I have seen a number of his "sketches" and they are quite mind-blowing. I have seen the artistic skills of a number of famed Detroit architects and i think Sukert and Willeke had the best free-hand drawing skills.

    Hello p69rrh51:

What can you tell me about this home on Windmill Pointe Drive in GGP? I have a photo from the street and a photo from the water [[Lake St. Clair). It was once owned by a famous Packard executive.

What would be the build date? Who is the architect? Who was the contractor? Any details would be helpful.

    Thanks.Name: img641.jpg

Terrific pics where did you find them? In the 50 years I have lived on the eastside I have never seen this home look that good! There is a current image of this home in #172 in this thread. The home was designed by Bennett & Straight. I do not know who the builder is. The building permit for the home when it was first built is long gone. Is this the home owned by J. Vincent at one time? If you need a list of the owners let me know?

Sorry I missed your earlier post. Yes, the home was owned by Col. Jesse Vincent. The photos are from the personal collection of Jesse's niece and the daughter of Charles Vincent, also a respected engineer that managed the Packard Proving Grounds in Utica [[Shelby Twp.), MI.

I visited the home in 2006 with the niece and a flood of memories came back to her.

Yes, a list of owners and any other information would be helpful. You can send me a PM if you like.

I will gather a list for you of owners. You are probably aware that 938 Balfour a spec house designed and built by Leonard Willeke was first purchased by Jesse Vincent.
