Isaac Swain house, ca 1861-3, that stood at Swain and Fort St. West, in what was then Springwells. I believe that this was designed by Sheldon Smith [[exterior) and E. A. Walsh [[interior). First photo is Burton, DPA2932, 2nd photo is from WSU Virtual Motor City [[21295). Swain made his money in lumber, and is buried in Woodmere cemetery.

George Robinson house, corner of Ledyard and Cass ca. 1875, by Henry Brush. Brush also designed the Ransom Gilbert House at John R and Alfred in partnership with George Mason, still [[barely) standing. He committed suicide in 1879 after a short impactful career.

George Jerome house, at 85 Alfred St, Brush Park. Have wondered whether this might have been designed by Henry Brush. That tower seems to be a signature piece for him appearing on a number of his buildings in various forms.
