The Pavilion was the first Mies building to be constructed in Lafayette Park. A typical floor has 9 studios, 6 one bedrooms, and 2 two bedroom apartments. The two bedroom units just have one bathroom.

A number of handsome stations were built along the Hiram Walker's Lake Erie and Detroit Railway, which was built primarily to get grain from the fields along the lakeshore to the distillery [[but also provided tourist excursions), and eventually ran from Walkerville to St. Thomas, with ferry connection to Detroit at the foot of Jos. Campau.

Here is the very beautiful station in Kingsville, about 25 mi. from Windsor. Also designed by Mason and Rice [[Albert Kahn, then an employee of the firm, reportedly worked on the plans). It is still standing and is now a very nice restaurant. The railroad right-of-way has been turned into a long greenway from just south of Windsor, making for a very nice bike excursion.

Rosemary Thornton published a book called The houses that Sears built ,if somebody comes across one they can contact her and add it to the registry.

I believe the original Hudson's store on Farmer was demolished in 1923 and replaced with a larger building that was completed in 1925.

Thx Eastside! I have the station in my catalog, and if I remember posted it on here awhile back. I need to take a pic of the station. I also have the stations designed by Spier & Rohns for the Michigan Central RR in my catalog and plan on taking pics of all of them at the end of March.
