Default Large number of DPD in Brush Park

Anyone know what DPD is/was up to in Brush Park today? There were about 15-20 squad cars, a paddy wagon [[old school bus, actually), and one of the mini command center things.... All parked up and down Brush. Cops hanging out on the sidewalk chatting, others clearly napping... all waiting for something.

I know the Tigers play tonight, but this is about 10x the police presence for that. Are they waiting for the Occupy people to get out of hand?

During the Tigers/Lions game, there will be high demand of parking spaces and the prices will be high up to $25.00. So folks will have to park just a couple blocks near Ford Field and Comerica Park from the south end of Cass Corridor and Brush Park. Some of those parking spaces are free, but there are scammers and theives lurking about putting you, your family and friends and your vehicle at risk. So Detroit Police will have to beef up security [[which it's an illusion) into the slow developed inner city areas. Folks from all over the ghettoes, suburbs, ex-urbs can be safe coming and going from these Downtown Detroit entertianment venues without running to conflicts from po-folks,mutants, pigeon rats, feral dogs, schizoblacks, beggers and Coleman Young Preachers. If they do run into these conflict be prepared and ready!

Park your vehicles at your own risk!

Danny you are a trip. It's because of the Occupy group. They don't expect any problems with Occupy Detroit however they have to be prepared incase there is problems. That's why they have the large bus.

No snark, there was an actual Occupy event planned in conjunction with the May 1 events nationwide. I think they marched from the train station to GCP.
