Mother Waddles

I believe this is a local charity that was started by a local giving individual. And the organization now bears her name. One thing that I don't understand about it however is its advertising. Seems to me that they advertise the entire slate of daily prime time newscasts on radio stations WJR and WWJ. I also saw a display ad in this morning's Freep. In that this type of advertising is very expensive, I'm wondering how they make it work......

I'm assuming that because it's a non-profit org . that advertising expenses would be greatly reduced or nothing at all . Most of the media especially TV do things like this as a public service and may not charge money .

Mrs. Charleszetta Waddles was the original founder of the Mother Waddles car donation organization which was related to the Mother Waddles Perpetual Mission, Inc., founded in 1956, in which she was the director and pastor until her death in 2001.
