I kinda agree w wheel,here and not just about Chaldeans ,Albanians w the coneys in the hood did the same thing,families lived together and worked together, very common to have a few generations living in the same home/working at the family business

From my observation there were a lot of family's pooling together and sharing living space and sharing responsibility to run a business. There was no fairy Godmother that handed them the keys.
