Default Bailiff says judge sent a near naked pic of himself to cell phone

That's definitely a bit strange, but unless there's accompanying accusations or part of the picture is missing I don't see that picture alone as scandalous or necessarily sexual in nature. Perhaps the two had been discussing their time at the gym and the judge was just proud of his results?

Then he should have at least put on underwear. They had to blur out the bottom of the photo...

Totally agree with you on that one. I didn't realize there was a video in the link until after I made the post.

A long while ago I went to an event with an open bar. A local Judge was also there. I thought wow I'm going to see a Judge get buzzed. When I walked by him I saw he was drinking coffee.

It then occurred to me that as a Judge he was always going to be above reproach if he was going to have the respect his position demanded.

This Judge is no different. There should never be a question about anything he does, on or off the bench. If he does not want the responsibility, he should have never set his sights on being a Judge.

Hm, I see a wedding band on the judge's hand! Isn't this the judge that's tough on deadbeat dads? I remember seeing him all over the news talking about how tough he is! Wow, then he acts like he's proud of it. What a loser. He's going down for this one, I predict.

He's going to claim it was an accidental text so then the lawyers will subpoena his phone records and see how many other times he's texted this same bailiff.

He'll never again be able to discuss "courtroom decorum" without muffled snickers in the background.

He's an arrogant idiot who thinks he's above reproach...well, he's got another thing coming. Anthony Weiner didn't show as much skin and is gone from Congress because of the pictures he posted...this judge will be gone soon.

Courtesy of those who deal in these arenas via 'their' use of phone cameras, or youtube or facebook etc. in this manner... Who exposes themselves like this? ----

'Show and tell' justified INDEED! Ode to the bold ala technology, an instance, press of a button, keys on a device. What's the problem? What the 'big deal' some will argue.

Whatever happened to descretion among those who 'play'?

It will be interesting to see how this works out in the courts......

Maybe the judge just didn't drink alcohol? You don't need to be a saint in order to be a judge.

However, you do need to be a law abiding citizen and what Wade McCree did might be considered sexual harassment, which is illegal. It's actually far worse than a judge getting a drink at the bar [[legal) or Anthony Weiner texting pictures of himself to random women around the country [[also legal). Making sexual advances to a subordinate is grounds for termination in every work place in America. Unless he can prove that this was mutual -- as in she was sending him nude pictures of herself too -- then he's fucked.

I'm pretty sure there's a morality clause in their oath as a judge - can't say for sure, but you would think there would be? Whether it was mutual or not, I'm pretty sure this would be considered outside the lines of being "moral". Not only is he married, but she's married, and the phone was probably owned by the city [[or however that works). As a judge, he's opening himself up to bribes/blackmail by not behaving in a moral manner. So I'm willing to bet there's something in his oath/contract that prohibits this. Not to mention that it was just stupid! Especially in the city of Detroit - really, McCree? Of all of the places to do something like this? Just wow at his stupidity.

So the Daily mail has picked it up:

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...t-bailiff.html

Another dopey son of a great father who can't hack it.

His father was a legal giant, U.S. District Court, U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, Solicitor General of the United States, argued 25 cases in the U.S. Supreme Court, 12th in his class at Harvard Law School, Professor at UM Law at the end of his career. That's a pretty big shadow for the son to live in. Kind of sad, but I bet he gets out of it, unless the Bailiff has more dirt than that he sent this picture.

What I always found puzzling is that his father founded Friends School after his sister was rejected by another private school after they realized she was black; I think McCree III went to Friends; Friends' major fundraising event is named after the father and McCree III is a big promoter of the event, but he did not send his son to Friends -- the son went to Chrysler at least when my kids were there a few years ago. I always thought that was weird.

The whole thing is unfortunate. Despite his bravado with Leduff, I could hear the falter in the pitch of the judges voice. He has to greatly REGRET his actions withstanding the fake 'tee-heeing' of it. Bad choice, poor response to the choice. And yes his father was a ground breaker on many levels. See wiki...

"Hot dog, yep that's me," 3rd Circuit Judge Wade McCree, who specialises in sexual misconduct cases, told WJBK-TV. "I've got no shame in my game. I ain't talked to nobody else's wife "

WOW. G-H-E-T-T-O. This is a JUDGE. Is there no propriety in our society anymore? I'd be terrified to be in his court.

Outside of that, how dumb is this asshole? My girlfriend and I don't even send each other softcore stuff because information will out. You want to show somebody something? Make sure its consentual and in a private place with no cameras. Dipshits.

I'm not gonna be so hard on the guy. I've met the judge a few times and did some service work at his home. He was really nice and very professional every time. I was quite surprised at his ghetto switch flip, and believe it was his fall back for being taken off-guard.

I'm not saying what the guy did was legal, but "moral" is in the eyes of the beholder. I understand people holding judges to a higher standard and all, but they are people too. If the guy has a relationship with a consenting co-worker and there is no conflict of interest, than i just don't think its any of my business and i have more important sheet to worry about.

And I didn't hear about anything like a complaint being filed by the woman. It sounded like her husband found the pic and went to LeDuff to embarress the judge, not that I blame him. McCree left himself open once he hit the send button.

And I bet his wife beat his ass as soon as he got home.

As mentioned in the post above yours it's the stupidity of his actions. I've got a lot less to lose than this guy does and I'm smart enough not to put myself in this type of situation. It's not about holding him to a higher standard, it's about expecting a judge to just use common sense.

Ah, moral relativism. If you think it is moral, then it is.

Hey, I don't disagree there. I wouldn't send a picture of myself doing a cartwheel over the internet for fear it would come back to haunt me. I've known people to lose jobs and end up divorced over some crap they sent or texted. But some, including the less technically inclined, just don't realize what digital info is: A bunch of 1s and 0s that can be dispersed an infinate amount of times to anyone with a device that can interface.

All I'm saying is, this human being obviously didn't realize a pic he sent 2 years ago [[supposidly) to a person he thought was trustworthy could come back to haunt him, and there are too many questions not answered for me to throw the guy under the bus. If it's found that he commited some real impropriety, and the powers that be say that somehow the pic can legally force him from his job, well, so be it.

Judge McCree had better hope that the reporters don't start digging more into his life outside of the courtroom. There was one story done by wxyz that mentioned the name Bernie Pavone who said he was a friend and spokesperson for the Judge. Pavone and the Judge were part of a "credit repair" scheme that ripped off a lot of people. Pavone ran the credit repair company and used the judge as a kind of spokesperson who he claimed taught him all
