Cheapest way to convert EUROs to US Dollars in Detroit Area...

OK, here's an interesting question... I know that bank wires from Europe are costly... so I'm getting in the mail 25 Euros for something I sold that I'm mailing off to a Belgian fellow. Where are the cheapest places to convert Euro's to dollars?

I just called my bank, and there's an $8 fee [[and a 1 week wait)... they said it would be even more for a bank wire.

Anyplace else around that's cheaper??

How ironic... I remember going to Germany, and even small middling banks would only charge about $2 for exchanging USA currency, and you'd get the funds immediately.

unfortunately, I think you should have done the paypal route, if possible. do you go to a CU?

Other than the airport exchange, I recall one in Birmingham, I think on Merrill St.

I've never had anything but problems changing over money in the U.S.

That being said, The NUMBER 1 easiest way to do it in Detroit is to go to the casino and they will change it right over at the cashiers counter.
