I know jumping to conclusions is satisfying, but it's dangerous and dishonest.

I wish Zimmerman was so calm and collect and could wait weeks and years, maybe even centuries to get to the facts before acting. If so, we wouldn't even be discussing this. Ahhh, he needed to act right away. Justice can wait though.

Mr. Zimmerman - conditioned to be suspicious, carrying a gun without proper training and experience, defending an upscale neighborhood againts 'outside' forces, etc.

So justified. So if I catch you walking down my neighborhood, I'm suspicious and untrained on how to use a gun, it's okay if I just kill you then? Right?

I say hang the hispanic guy now and figure out what happened later. I wouldn't want to get egg on my face like with the Duke lacrosse players' case.

Amazing when a black person is killed we have so much time to investigate, re-investigate, and well fuck it - no crime was committed here folks, move along. But justice sure can move swift when it's a white person killed. My question is why didn't Zimmerman wait for a grand jury before acting, or you know, even simpler, just wait for the police?

Trial by public opinion is only unjustified when the shooter is white. If they're black then we can figure it all out and close the case swiftly. Typical.

I just heard a report on NPR that a Florida lawmaker who is a big proponent of the Stand Your Ground law says that this law should not apply in this case, because Zimmerman admitted to police dispatcher that he was following the person. Ergo, of course, the law need not be examined and possibly changed. I didn't catch the name of the legislator.
