That's perfect Kemp! Plus the Tigers have found a new demographic - the people who watch the Superbowl for the commercials.

They are probably replacing the entire scoreboard with a full color HD LED display.

That guy is creepy in a Michael Jackson/Jerry Sandusky kind of way. People need to stop going to his stupid hair cut places so he goes away.

Call me a purist, but I prefer the simplicity of Tiger Stadium's scoreboard (Detroit/Visitors) far more than this monstrosity. The 21st century: a proliferation of distractions. I just want to watch the game.

Do you think one could actually go to Comerica Park without them blasting garbage on the loud speakers? Is there an actual reason why they have to play a 6 second song clip each time a batter steps up to the plate to bat? How does that enhance the game? It's annoying and pointless.

I bet seven year olds love it. If you want baseball to survive, it needs to be embraced by the next generation. Sure, I am perfectly happy to watch a high school game without all of the pomp and circumstance because I am watching for the game itself. I'm not so easily distracted though so they can build up whatever the hell they want around the game, I'm still only going to be paying attention to the game.

Annnnd, here it is. Much better, although the Tiger's script at the top looks a bit out of place, although it will look better than that odd lettering that was up there before. Wish it was just a giant Old English D.

I have never encountered a child that has said "I'm glad they blast 6 seconds of a song before each batter steps up to the plate. Even though it's pointless and adds nothing to the game, I love it".

And I've never heard a child say, "I am fond of the serenity during lulls in the game. It gives me chance to ponder the gravity of the situation at hand, and some ways, ponder my own life, existence, and eventual mortality." This is fun, your turn...what other stupid, hypothetical shit have we never heard children say?

Video Board will be 600% larger and the Tigers will be back on top and painted to look fiercer than ever. I'm so excited I might ask Occurrence to come to a game with me!

My vote would have been for a giant LED Old English D up top, but this looks pretty cool

Too many ads. I don't see the clock in it either. I guess they'll have a digital readout for the time.

The old style clock, which I think was copied from Camden Yards, was definitely a nice feature and should have been kept.

All this and I bet they still won't show close replays where the home team comes up short. I'm not sure if that's a post-Malice at the Palace policy or if it's always been the case but none of the TVs at the stadium ever seem to show a reply when you really want to see one.

I too miss the clock and agree there's too many ads. I hope they're framed or positioned in a less distracting way on the final product. I also hope they hold on to the old animations from Tiger stadium but without a two-color screen to show them anymore they probably won't make the 2012 team. Hopefully they're replaced with something tasteful and not some obnoxious seizure inducing videos but between the weird-sounding light up eyeball Tiger statues, the water fireworks and the facade of the Motor City Casino I don't hold much hope the Ilitches will show some restraint this time. I'll cast my final vote on home game 2.

...and move the flagpole back in play while you've got a construction crew down there!

Yeah, what's up with that anyways? One of the "selling points" of Comerica park was the original flagpole was suppose to be moved there. Not only did they manage to screw that up, they then shortened the field and enclosed it within the wall. It's such a bland hack ballpark.

This is MLB policy so the umpires don't look bad. No place in the country shows replays on disputed plays. I agree it's annoying.

I'm not a big fan of the new "Tigers" text on top and the absence of the clock, but in general this is a gigantic improvement over the cruddy video boards on the old one.

The more I look at the render, the more I think I prefer Kenp's mock up. This might be a little better if there was some kind of theme to the ads. Like a retro 20's-30's theme like some other clubs do. Having a bunch of hodgepodge logos and colors is just an ugly mess.
