How about Hidden Gems of Michigan? I'm always looking for a new interesting place to visit on a daytrip or extended roadtrip.

Name a town and its hidden gem [[or that gem by name) that you have visited [[or want to visit) here in Michigan and want to let others know about it. Share a link if you can.

Went last fall and adored it. I want to go again this fall; might actually go to the Apostle Islands in Wisconsin as well.

I'll add another G: the Grosse Pointe Central library. It was designed by Bauhaus architect Marcel Breuer and houses one of Alexander Calder's biggest mobiles and a variety of other fine art. For GP residents it has a great tool collection too.

An extra K while were here: Kitch iti Kipi near Manistique. Michigan's largest spring fed lake which is incredibly beautiful and has a human powered rope pulled boat that goes back and forth across the lake. So lovely. Name: 43524864_Unknown.jpg

The Ledges Trail in Grand Ledge, west of Lansing

Picturesque! We had an enjoyable few hours with our son as we walked the trail along the Grand River, speculating on the age of the rock formations and who might have spent nights nestled in there.

We were there in Sept 2019 and took the tour and then last fall just went and looked around on our way to Copper Harbor. I wish I had discovered how glorious it is up there when I was much younger.

Had to look up Quincy! I thought it must be the home of the Quincy Mine in the UP. But that's in Hancock. Now I see that Quincy is not far from Coldwater where we were exploring on Friday afternoon.

Re: Petoskey, I've never visited, just passed on through on our way up 131 to a destination further north. Will have to keep it in mind for a future visit!
