^^ Lots of these all over MI {you know}. I was able to recognize them before they flowered and enjoyed their scent, and of course I've seen many of these flowers too, but I never realized they're the same plant. Do they still smell like carrots? Probably not?

Hollyhocks! I grew up with them. They were everywhere in the late seventies... alleys, sides of garages, fences. I guess a fungus wiped them out...
