Aren't the Indian maidens in the outer lobby?
Crazy how you can almost see the plaster melting in those pics. That looks like the same photographer who posted pics of the inside of the organ grilles on Flickr. Those are some of my favorites.
Gistok, I don't know anything about the Art Prize photo except that it was there. My parents picked up the photographer's card, so I can check in a few days who it was. It may well have been the...
According to my family, there's a photo of the United Artists on display in Grand Rapids as part of the Art Prize competition.
This possibility scares me. I hope they don't turn it into something nondescript -- that could be just as bad a tearing it down
Looking at the interior photos, I've made an observation. In the most recent one I posted, the plaster on the side wall appears to be intact. In the earlier interior shots I posted -- back on pages...

I just found another page with some recent photos and information on it, posted by an urban explorer. It looks like it's from 2009.

It's sad that they let things like that organ leave Michigan.
Then again, better than letting it rot.
You're welcome. I have been lurking here for months -- a closet fan of the UA -- and signed up for an account just to post that link :D
Is there a ladder in the bottom right corner?
I don't know if anyone has stumbled upon this photo on Flickr, but it looks like it's pretty recent:

Is this proof of a renovation? Hard to...
