After the 1 million plus renovation...I think it's a fairly decent grocery store---I still prefer the Meijer at 12/mound, but I stop at the Kroger for quick stops.

If Bob wasn't listed as owner, then it doesn't matter if he lives in the house or not. The taxes are the responsibility of his parents---I think the burden is on the County to make sure the taxes...
Who is going to run/own these buildings once they're renovated? Is the city going to keep and maintain them?

I think prices will increase 1-3 % overall on average like you mentioned the next 2-3 years...but it can vary by neighborhood depending on demand and if you want move-in ready condition.
The Max per house would be $20,000 principal reduction....doesn't really help when you're $100K plus underwater and you're still likely going to short sell or walk away.
Are they planning on filling in the gap between the Barber Shop---wouldn't they have to knock out the entire brick side of building to do that?
