I post because I stay homesick all the time. I miss Detroit but know I cannot come back there to live. Too much bad happened to me while I lived there to come back until I know the city is safe which...
Well one thing for sure he is not demolishing the building. Just hope he's restoring the theater also.
Got a message yesterday that the Detroit Eagle is closing its doors after 25 years. I remember it being a bar called the interchange before that. Nice bar but very bad area from what I remember. Just...
A new park opening? Really? The city is planning on closing 77 parks so what the hell? I dont get it. What up with this?
Detroit will never have a prodominent gay neighborhood again as long as the crime and discrimination are still in place. I don't ever see that happening. IMO
BTW Gistok, love the Conrad Schmitt website. Some beautiful old theaters on there for sure.
Can't somebody go peek for us? ;)
There are some good ideas out there and yes it certainly is going to take many things at once. One thing is for sure though, if you keep doing the same thing you will get the same results.
I...
I've thought the same thing too. I actually believe that he would get re-elected if he ran again. He was elected a second term and everyone knew what he was up to then. Would not shock me at all if...
Didnt mean to open a can of worms guys. Was just hoping he was asked about but if it was a sports interview, then I understand why. I guess as long as its staning we can still hope.
Was anything mentioned about the UA?
Detroit is too great of a city to just disappear. Will be [[and is) a lot different than it was but will remain. IMO.
It didnt look from the pictures that the photographer didnt even go in the building. I do think it needs to be demo'd. Its a huge danger even to urban explores.
Not funny :-[[
Really just more of the same stuff. Just thought someone else might want to see it.

"hat do you think it will take to change the minds and hearts of Metro Detroit residents?"
I know this is pessimistic, but I dont think it will ever change. Been that way for years and its the...
its not just Michigan or Detroit guys. We have constant construction here in Nashville during the summer too. They close whole freeways sometimes on the weekends.
Yes she did "to her home" According to her. To hell with that B**** Last time she tried to do a tour they had to cancel it because nobody would come. She's shit on Detroit more than once.
Thanks for the explination Dove-7. Now I do understand.
My first concert was when he was at Cobo and made the live bullet album. It was awesome. Of course the party favors in those years made it even better.
I am from there, but havent lived there in 25 years. No I dont know who this Ricks guy is. I was just sayin though.....
Why is this guy callled "whiteboy Ricks"? If he was black and you called him blackboy ricks, there would be a huge uproar. I guess its that damn double standard again. Or is his first name Whiteboy?...
Any chance of it going into the MCS? Probably not huh. Sure would be nice though. Would the GAR be big enough? Again, probably not huh.
Preservation Wayne called mt to set up my reservation for the theater tour today. Kinda early, but I guess they are starting taking reservations today. Have to pay when you reserve. Just FYI.
