It's getting to the "wow that's a tall building" phase and not just a stub. Pretty cool to see
The pace is moving along faster. I would not be surprised if the tower would top off by fall and the exterior completed by next spring.
I view this site from the 12 floor of the One Campus Martius building. The glass is now above my view. As a result, I can't really see anything anymore because all the action is much higher up than what I can see.
I observed a picture of the north side of the Hudson's building and the finished glass does not have those vertical metal looking bars between the glass like the Woodward and Gratiot side of the building has. Anyone else notice?
The top of the tower has tapered in again.

Attachment 42641Attachment 42640Attachment 42640it looks like the pool for the hotel will go through the entire building and extend out of the building?
if so that would be really cool
like an infinity pool?
That is just for loading material into the building. The pool is on the interior and faces Woodward. In earlier photos you could see where they were reinforcing areas for the additional weight.
That would’ve been cool though lol
Every time I watch the Tigers I can see more progress.

Wouldn't it be something if GM was to sell its headquarters and take up two floor inside the Hudson Block

There's a fairly easy way to determine that empirically.
- Measure your distance D from the building.
- Use a protractor and plumb bob to measure the angle θ between the base of the building and its top.
The height of the building is D ● tan{θ}.
I'd love to see someone do this.
Based on this image from about 2 months ago when it was in the 400+ ft. range [[photo from the Book Tower)... I would bet it is approaching 500 ft.
