Windsorite's war crimes trial starts
I caught this in the Star today. It is nice to know that perpetrators if genocide, to quote our Joe Louis, can run but they can't always hide, not even in our international city.

Jury selection starts today in the war crimes trial of Jacques Mungwarere, a Windsor warehouse worker who was recognized and reported by members of the local Rwandan community for his alleged role in Rwanda's 100-day genocide in 1994.
Mungwarere was a 22-yearold school teacher living in the rolling, green hills of Kibuye, Rwanda when the systematic murder of the country's Tutsi minority began 18 years ago.
Now, the man who fled his native country and settled in Windsor as a refugee is facing trial in Ottawa for his role in the genocide. Jury selection for the bilingual trial begins today from a pool of about 1,000 potential jurors.
