Provide administrative assistance in report generation and writing using Microsoft Access, Excel and Crystal Reports. Maintain company's exchange server access, including security features. Support the organizations local area network. Monitor network to ensure availability to all systems users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. May plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. Maintain network hardware and software. Provide technical assistance to computer systems users. Responsibilities...
Designing and query company reports via Access, Excel and SQL.
Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems.
Design, troubleshoot, and test computer hardware to resolve issues.
Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components.
Load computer tapes and disks, to support back up security measures.
Install software and system updates as needed.
Maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware,systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.
Perform routine network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records.
Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
Requires working knowledge of SQL server 2005, Windows Server 2003, Exchange server set up and maintenance as well as knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.
