Thanks for the pics EB - I'm mean -REALLY - thanks for the pics! :-)
Anybody else headed for the open road? After our St. Jude Founder's Day/Block Party - I'm headed to the Au Sable and some R&R for a week and 1/2 before heading to PA for the weekend for a wedding. Home for a couple of days that back to the "undisclosed" location.
De nada. Heading toward Duluth, MN today.
Ok, I just voted 12 more times. Let's get going folks
Ok, I'm in, I'm voting - Only for you Z
BI is a Horatio Alger story of the Tigers. In an era of short lived, thrown-money- at "super stars: [[i.e. Juan Gone), BI stuck it out thru thick and thin, played the position that was most advantageous for the team, and doing so with the utmost professionalism and class. Now he is having a stellar year with the bat while his defense remains a gold glove constant. In all fairness, I don't know the other nominees for the all star team as well as Brandon...Got to be a homer in this case though and join in the chant B-I-N-G-E,, B-I-N-G-E:D
Hey Laing I imagine your town is in a state of shock over Air McNair's passing. Quite a tragedy.
Brandon is in 2nd place in the voting. C'mon people, vote more often!!
it is still so unreal that he was killed. you could mention many other people to be wrapped up like he was, but not mcnair. guess ya never really know people. there are so many questions unanswered about the killing and more stuff comes out daily. the police are even saying they may never know what really happened.
Just kicked in my 3rd dozen for Inge. Go Brandon!!
Mkap, the plot is thickening. They did find the gun she bought Thurs night, but it was found beneath her - she was laying face down. The shot to her head was determined to be a contact shot - the gun was up against her head. So for all you CSI people, they are questioning if someone shoots themself, wouldn't the hand holding the gun be out to the side rather than straight down, and since she was a small 20 yr old, she wouldn't have had the strength to resist a kick from the gun. They are not ruling anything out - the person who came into the condo saw them in the living room - walked past them, and didn't notice any blood till he came back in. 911 wasn't called for at least 30 minutes. When they processed the crime scene, they cut out part of the drywall due to blood spatters, so why didn't the guy see it when he first came in?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Truly a senseless tragedy.
As Sargeant Shultz would say, " I see nothing, nothing!"
Very interesting Laing
Just saw this in the Macomb Daily. Mr & Mrs. DeDonatis were long standing members of St. Jude. Some of you should know Tony. Donny graduated with my brother at St. Jude and eventually was drafted but the Tigers but never made the big club. He played for Denby and would have graduated in '67.
I used to go over their house with my brother before church on Sundays and remember we would always huddle in the basement with the rest of the family. Typical Italians they lived the basement and all the furniture has plastic on it upstairs and no one was allowed to sit on any of it. Just like the Romano's

The name sounds familiar, but I can't place them. I DO remember the plastic enclosed furniture in various homes that was never used. Were there EVERY an occasions when the plastic came off?
