Hey OG,
Aww, a couple of my favorites, that busy, huh?
Are you making an appearance next month?
Not sure yet. Doesn't look too good right now. You are tempting me with dive bars though. That's even more stuff I love.
So, what's the problem? Feelin' disenfranchised, not feeling the love, in need of a crash pad, whaaa...?
OG - you MUST come - that's that!;)
Now has anyone heard from Jeep?
And Hoover - still waiting on your answer hmmm? :p
Gash - will you start making some phone calls? Call me and I'll give you some of the numbers.
STN - do you want to make calls too? Some thing - call me and I'll give you the phone numbers
And hey all - I'mechecking out a hammond B3 in my neighborhood. May actually own one soom - just thought I'd share the news ..........
Yoy gonna' get Bruce to move it?
If your old lady knows how to operate a backhoe, you'd better not piss her off!

I will be calling and talking to somebody named Julie at the Old Miami this coming Thursday. She's the "go-to" gal there, and a sweet little bartender I just talked to said to contact her. So, if a few of us start calling and mentioning Garwood reunion and Viet Nam Vets and Sunday afternoon in the same sentence to whoever is on the other end of the phone, we'll probably get the message across. [[313) 831-3830.
Just spent the evening down at Skipper's bar in Hamtramck... what a great place. Finally met 1KD and got to tell him about my Garwoodian wannabe tendencies. John, Gary, Ruth, sorry for dropping off the radar for the last 4-5 months.
I'm looking forward to the FOG reunion festivities and meeting all of you firsthand. Still bummed i was born 20 years too late.
I'm no longer at the DYC, so sorry, no plug for a reunion event there, but my yawl Turandot http://i977.photobucket.com/albums/a...scottreduc.jpg is still available as an [[un)official Garwood Reunion sailing excursion [[if anyone's interested) out of Kean's Marina in Detroit.
cheers!
Kenneth
Stn I'm chomping at the bit on this one too...longing for4 the spray of water...the smell of fish...the reflections on the water...the sound of flapping canvas....get my drift...Mr Klemmer is a great guy and a bastion of knowledge about Grayhaven history not to mention a generous soul...this guy at least deserves a response
Glmn.......the guy deserves way more than a response......something like a shot or two of Skipper's finest, if he is so inclined, and it would be my pleasure to provide those. Beautiful boat there, kklemmer, and you can bet I'm looking forward to hooking something up for a daysail. I love to put the rail in the water every so often myself. BRAVO!!
Yeah "y'all", what a fun time. Klemmer is most certainly knowledgeable about the Gar Wood, music and sailing [[and of course, architecture, yeowwee!). Anyone possessing such a beautiful, wood boat, must be as passionate [[or nuts?) as we are. I think he said he'd just finished varnishing before coming to Skipper's. Is this man crazy, or what? That makes two boats available for sailing excursions during the Gar Wood reunion. I have the details for the other. More later. I thought Dgrrl was gonna handle the Old Miami?
k Klem Turandot is sweet and we love sailing, I hope you make it,

I'm holding the weekend open for sailing with any and all, but sunday evening I'll probably be spending with my dad who was diagnosed w/ stage 4 cancer about 4 months ago. Fortunately, he got to sail with my nephew and i on a trip to Lake Erie last summer and we all had a great time.
I understand from 1KD we have another boat sailing out of the Goatyard as well. "what you call 2 sailboats going in the same direction? A race!"
I'll stay in touch w/ details.

Sure you do. I was heartbroken. Crying every day. 'Where is my Margie? Why isn't she answering my phone calls? Did she abandon me? I'm so lonesome I could cry [[okay, I stole that line)". You'll pay for this when I see you. Well, only if Mike isn't around. Welcome back.
