Extreme Infants! Rocket Fuel In Baby Formula!

As time passes, the full extent of the damage that the Bush Administration inflicted on the country and the world is becoming more and more clear. You may recall that last September, it was reported that George Bush's Environmental Protection Agency would not regulate the amount of rocket fuel in our nation's drinking water (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/09/22/epa-wont-remove-rocket-fu_n_128460.html). As a result, sites in 35 states (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/21/AR2008092102352.html) had dangerously high levels of the chemical perchlorate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perchlorate) in their drinking water.

Now you'd think, rocket fuel in your drinking water... that's pretty bad, right? But as I said earlier, the full extent of Bush's damage has not yet entirely come to light. I say this because, in case you haven't heard, in addition to rocket fuel in our drinking water, it has now been reported that there is rocket fuel in baby formula (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/03/scientists-find-rocket-fu_n_182731.html).

Lack of curiosity? What is there to be curious about? Mosquito vectors for blood born viral diseases are well known (ie Malaria), but not worthy of concern for use regular folks in the midwest. The annoying itch is far more concerning and better reason to use repellent.

Keep up the good work with this thread, Jimaz, I appreciate your efforts in selecting interesting, informative, and mostly current events and relevant political information from the GoLeft TV site, and posting brief summaries with links to it here.

Ccbatson's truly weird obsession in posting replys with mainly insulting and dismissive analysis of the links' subject matter w/o ever clicking and reading them beforehand gives me a chuckle every time. Maybe he believes that he is doing some kind of "necessary" conservative public service for any newcomers and lurkers who browse topics here on DYes. Since he runs the board every day and mostly posts replys with one sentence, I doubt if he could ever gather information from a conservative website on a consistent basis, and maintain an ongoing thread with it, like you do with this one.

Well, Americans, our day is almost here! As you know April 15th is National Tea Party Day! Or if you want to go by it's full title, it's Fox News Channel presents a Freedom Works Production based on the short rant of Rick Santelli of Tax Day Tea Parties starring Glenn Beck, Michelle Malkin, Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity and the Fox News Dancers.

And of all the teabaggers, none is more hyped up and ready to be dipped than Mr. Glenn Beck. As you will see when you watch this video of his Tea Party preparations. Take a look.

As others have noted, Glenn is getting harder and harder to satirize. I mean really, is it that far off to imagine him dressing up in a tea bag? And this is just in the last week!

Oh, and he's going on a stand up comedy tour (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/12/glenn-beck-comedy-tour-an_n_185943.html). I've seen his act, and it's pretty good. However, it is a bit of a Jeff Foxworthy "you might be a redneck" rip off. See, Glenn goes on stage and says things like...

"If you randomly burst into tears at highly inopportune moments, like a four year old who hasn't had his nap... you might be a Glenn Beck."

"If instead of canned goods, your fallout shelter is full of unsold copies of A Christmas Sweater... you might be a Glenn Beck."

"If you're constantly using words you don't know the meaning of... like socialist, communist, fascist, and populist... you might be a Glenn Beck."

The GOP is up in arms over President Obama's $3.5 trillion dollar budget. Apparently they've forgotten that President Bush approved a $3 trillion dollar budget last year. The main criticism is that the increased deficit spending, which would only be about 9%, will push our country further into a recession. Again, history seems to contradict their claims. After all, Ronald Reagan operated with a 17% budget deficit, Bush Sr. worked with 11%, but Bill Clinton turned that around to less than 1% within 18 months of taking office, so these are issues that can quickly be turned around. Say that you run a corporation and taxes/regulations are such that your profits/reinvestment capital are far lower if you set up in one State, or one Country versus another. You have a choice to go to the place that allows you to succeed against competition that is doing likewise (so that if you don't do this, you lose). You are faced with failing on the one hand and succeeding on the other. What should you do? What would you do?

Hey Batty, I invite you to swim in the ocean out in front of my house in Miami. The pollution/bacteria levels will do wonders for that lily-white skin of yours. You'll go home with all sorts of new bacterial friends.

Floral blooms in the ocean are a common occurance here, and some days the authorities claim it's OK to swim, most days, you're taking a risk from the human feces and other untreated waste that is allowed to be pumped into the ocean around here.

We can again thank Repugnicans, especially Mel Martinez and Jeb Bush for allowing that one to happen.

Perhaps a little off shore drilling would make it better.

I'll be sure to bring my lighter fluid to clean my feet off at the beach from all the oil sludge that washes ashore.

Repugnicans will deny any such problems, but I don't see them swimming in the ocean around here.

Gay marriage may be a wedge issue for 20% of the remaining losers on the Repugnican Reich, but what's even more interesting is the issue of abortion rights, which has been a political football for the Reich for years now, and even with Tush & Cheney in office, a republican controlled congress, and a sympathetic supreme court, they still didn't try to overturn it.

Roe v. Wade is the perfect boogey man for the Reich to hold up every election as something the left loves, and needs defeating, when in fact the Reich is paranoid that if it ever did get overturned, they would lose one of their biggest wedge issues out there.

Not that they couldn't find another- they love going after Obama's birth certificate, and other non-issues, which are desperate moves for a drowning political party.

Yes, 20% is what all reliable CONSERVATIVE polls are saying support legalized discrimination.

California and Michigan were deluged with money from outside scabbing by Mormons, and in particular Focus on the Family, and other Values Voters Vomit being spread by religious nutsacks.

Gladly, such removal of rights already extended same-sex partnerships will not stand in courts going forward, and such hypocricies will be overturned in short order. This is a temporary problem.

More and more states are approving same-sex marriage as the SECULAR legal binding contract it always has been.

Cheney Revealed As A Terminator During Latest Speech

As we all have heard, both President Obama and former Vice President Cheney gave dueling speeches (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0509/22748.html) today on the topic of national security. While the actual content of Cheney's speech mimicked the attacks (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/05/21/cheneys-speech-obama-dese_n_206165.html) he's been lobbing for the past weeks, news was made in the fact that Cheney has finally been revealed as a cyborg.

As you will see, during Cheney's speech, a malfunction of some sort caused a small explosion which caused the Cheney-Borg's flesh-like covering to melt, thus revealing the endoskeleton hidden beneath. Take a look.

Looking back, I can't say that I'm particularly surprised. It's something we all should have seen coming. All those heart surgeries? Tune ups. Upgrades for the C-1000. The Cheneynator. No, strike that. The Dickanator.

It explains his choice of language. Enhanced interrogations. Sounds like something a heartless machine would say.

It also explains why he keeps coming back. He's a machine. It's his programming. His mission is not complete. And it seems like he's unstoppable, but that's not the case. I've done some research, and there is one known way to stop a Dickanator and that's to prosecute him for his war crimes.

But, my guess is that isn't in the script, and it's too bad because I don't think C2 is a sequel any of us really want to see.

She was valedictorian of her high school. She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Betta Cappa from Princeton. She then studied law at Yale, where she was the editor of the Yale Law Journal.

Maybe the problem is that most right wingers don't know what summa cum laude means. Probably not, though. Most likely, they're just desperately making stuff up to try to stop an extremely qualified nominee.

Exclusive Footage Of Glenn Beck's Common Sense Comedy Show

Well ladies and gentlemen, last night I, along with a few friends, decided to do the unthinkable. We went to simulcast of Glenn Beck's Common Sense Comedy Tour (http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/26091/). And let me tell you, it was amazing!

But, why should I tell you, when I could show you? See, I snuck in my camcorder and am now proud to present a bootleg copy of Glenn Beck's hysterical "stand up" routine. If Glenn looks a little funny, it's just the tape.

There were about 20 people in the Chicago theater. My friends and I were the only non-believers. I secretly was hoping they would all rise at one point, turn to us like the pod people in Invasion of the Body Snatchers and yell "We Surround Them!!!" But, they didn't.

Obama's high approval ratings are very bad news for all Americans....fortunately, they can't last.

Dick Cheney Passes The Keys To The Dungeon To Daughter Liz

A vast majority of liberals have a hard time naming anything remotely positive when it comes to former Vice President Dick Cheney. Now we could say "He's no longer in office." That's certainly a positive. Or the fact that his insistence on remaining in the spotlight is hurting the GOP's future electoral chances. That's a positive, too. But the truth is, Cheney has recently been doing something that's very positive and very American. It's touching, isn't it? I mean here we have a man who's teaching his daughter the tricks of the family trade. Granted, his family trade is lying, but it's still sweet to see a father and daughter bonding over their attempts to rewrite history. And if you're going to learn to lie, there's no more a master craftsman than our former Vice President.

Now apparently Monday was Take Your Daughter To Work Day, because on Fox News, Dick and Liz gave an adorable joint interview (http://thinkprogress.org/2009/06/03/dick-wants-liz-in-office/) to Greta Van Susteren where Dick said:

Well, I would -- you know, I'm, of course, a proud father, but I'd love to see her run for office some day. I think she's got a lot to offer. And it's been a great career for me. And if she has the interest, and I think she does, then I would like to see her to embark upon a career in politics.
It's great when a parent believes in their child. And clearly Dick has an eye for talent. Who can forget that when George W. Bush had Dick comb through Vice Presidential candidates to find the best pick and Dick suggested... himself?

Let's face it, if Liz chooses to follow in her dad's footsteps, she will have some pretty big and pretty evil shoes to fill. That's why it's important for Dick to ease her in. Keep her from being too evil, too soon.

Hell, I say all that's left is to get her a token job with Halliburton, give her the keys to the dungeon and let her rip because clearly this rotten apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

At first I believed Bill Maher when he likened Dick Cheney to the awful little arm sticking up from the carriage in "Rosemary's Baby," however, now I'm inclined to think it's Lizard Cheney, Dick's dutiful daughter who tonight was sparring with a liberal on CNN's Situation Room.

They are really trying to do something, presumably to repair Dick's damaged derriere, and only have succeeded in looking shrill and socially retarded, constantly criticizing Obama and his policies.

It's really big of Obama to resist responding to Dick Satan and his evil spawn, Lizard, but, that's what I'm here for, and others like me.

The pea green suit Lizard wore tonight was a charming touch, reminding many of us who watched, that her comments were in keeping with what Linda Blair was spewing in "The Exorcist."

And Cheney is on tape, audio and video stating the "link" between Hussein and 9/11. Then he retacted it, and said we went in to "liberate" the Iraquis. Then the reason changed again, since we destabilized the country by invading it, terrorists began invading, which Hussein wouldn't tolerate, so the new reason was there were terrorists in Iraq! Wow, go figure.

I just learned tonight that Tush/Cheney gave Pakistan 7 billion bucks to arm up against Al Quaeda, but instead bought arms (not from us, by the way) to strengthen their border with India! God forbid there should be any illegal Bollywood videos crossing the border!

I'd like that 7 billion back, do you suppose Tush could write me a check? I'd like to deposit it back in the treasury along with the check for 350 billion they stole on their way out the door. :eek:
