For an old school thriller, check out "The Orphanage".

Not by way of the content, but the feeling took me back to the likes of "The Exorcist" and "The Omen"

The remake of "The Omen" was decent too...especially for a remake.

Really? In league with some of these classics? Not just another slasher type film?

The Orphanage was great. It's not really "horror" per se, but have you seen Pan's Labyrinth? I believe the director, Guillermo Del Toro, was somehow involved in The Orphanage, maybe as producer.

Yes, same guy. Great movie (Pan's Labyrinth). As to the orphanage I think it was classic horror/thriller in every way.
