Actually Detroit won't loose anything, Michigan State will. Even though they are so close they still have to fill some 500 rooms for the Final Four.

CNBC had article about by having MSU in the final four Detroit would lose revenue. Fans from Louisville would fly to Detroit, stay at hotels--not just make the drive from Lansing and drive home.
