The Uniroyal Plant seen from across Jefferson Ave. In the distance can be seen the towers of the Renaissance Center which were built in the 1970's in attempt to rejuvenate the downtown area.

Uniroyal Tire Plant

The wrecking ball demolition of the Uniroyal Tire Plant during the 1980's took several months to level the huge and immensely strong structure.
